one of the things about flickr is that the seasonal changes are thrust upon you, even if you are geographically forunate/unfortunate.

so here's the iced over park bench that mocks us:

and it is a flat picture too. i like flat pictures these days, if you didn't know.

i've been biking around toronto a lot recently. i like it, even though i wish i had started in the warmer months.

i went down to the Port of Toronto for the first time and it was very interesting. close by and i didn't feel like i was in the city anymore.

the folks over at flickr seem to be working on some means of algoritmically determining which images are the most interesting.

i sure hope they also attempt to determine the 100 least interesting images too.

Squared Circle

a little while ago i started up a flickr group called squared circle. i wrote up some ground rules, invited all my friends and waited. one flickr blog post and 472+ photos later, i'm writing this blog post.

it has been very interesting to see the response that a little idea can generate. after the first 200 images, i worte a forum post to serve as a retrospective of some of the best images submitted so far.

My buddy yeöz typed in my 'name' into google on my birthday for some reason i cannot begin to comprehend. he took a screenshot of the result and it is now the fith highest result for hobvias sudoneighm.

it used to be that my friends filter for roverblogs only worked properly for me when i logged in .. but with this new link you can get your roverblogs fix without hunting around for them one at a time.
